Bromley & Co represents the commercial and collectible dimension of David Bromley’s creative universe, bringing artworks, prints and objects to collectors around the world. The project began as a redesign of the brand’s e-commerce website, but quickly evolved into a broader challenge: creating a digital platform that meets the standards of a modern online store while keeping the artwork itself firmly at the center of the experience.

Context

The Bromley brand operates across galleries, exhibitions, collaborations and collectible objects. The online store plays a critical role in connecting this ecosystem with an international audience of collectors and admirers of the artist’s work.

Challenge

The challenge was to follow the evolving standards of successful image-driven e-commerce websites while ensuring that design never overshadowed the artwork itself. The platform needed to feel visually rich and dynamic, yet remain restrained enough to allow the art to lead the experience.

Solution

Matbold approached the redesign by prioritizing content hierarchy and visual rhythm. The structure was designed to gradually introduce visitors to the Bromley universe before guiding them toward focused product pages and collections.

Brand/Platform

The homepage acts as a dynamic entry point into the brand, presenting recent exhibitions, events and selected collections alongside curated highlights from the artist’s work. From this storytelling layer, the platform transitions seamlessly into dedicated e-commerce environments where artworks and objects can be explored in detail.The design language remains intentionally minimal, using typography, spacing and composition to support the artwork rather than compete with it.

The result is a refined e-commerce platform that balances brand storytelling with clear purchasing pathways, allowing collectors to discover and acquire Bromley’s work within a cohesive digital environment.
