Designing an Immersive Experience for Dolce & Gabbana

Matbold had the opportunity to collaborate with the iconic Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana on a visual experience developed for the brand’s DGCasa interior collection.

The installation was created for the brand’s Milan boutique dedicated to the home line, where visitors explore furniture collections inspired by Mediterranean culture and bold Italian design.

Working together with the Milan-based architecture studio m2atelier, Matbold developed a digital visual experience designed to amplify the atmosphere of the Zebra collection, one of the most expressive design directions within the DGCasa universe.

Translating a Collection into an Experience

The Zebra collection is defined by strong graphic patterns and bold contrasts. The challenge was to transform this visual language into an immersive spatial experience that visitors would encounter when entering the boutique.

Matbold designed a dynamic visual environment installed across LED walls inside dedicated immersive rooms, where motion, scale and graphic rhythm bring the collection’s distinctive aesthetic to life.

Rather than simply presenting products, the experience introduces visitors to the emotional universe behind the collection — a world where fashion, interior design and art converge.

Where Fashion Meets Interior Design

Dolce & Gabbana launched the DGCasa line as an extension of the brand’s fashion identity into the world of interiors, introducing collections inspired by Mediterranean culture, Sicilian heritage and bold decorative motifs.

The Milan boutique showcases several design styles — from the vibrant Sicilian Carretto patterns to the expressive Zebra and Leopard motifs — each representing a different interpretation of the brand’s creative universe.

Within this context, the immersive Zebra experience acts as a visual centerpiece, inviting visitors to step into the narrative behind the collection.

Crafting a Luxury Brand Moment

The project represents a collaboration between architecture, interior design and digital storytelling — disciplines that increasingly shape the way luxury brands create memorable retail experiences.

By translating the identity of the Zebra collection into motion and space, the installation transforms the boutique into a living expression of the Dolce & Gabbana world.

For Matbold, the project highlights the studio’s ongoing exploration of how design, technology and storytelling can elevate brand experiences in the luxury sector.

The visual experience has been installed in the new Dolce Gabbana Casa boutique in Corso Venezia, Milano
